Who’s behind all this and are they making any money out of it?

Sandbag is a not for profit enterprise – in fact at the moment it’s best described as an expensive hobby for those who set it up. We started Sandbag because we wanted to speed up action being taken to tackle climate change. We also thought some of the other actions people were being offered to make a difference, like switching to green electricity or 'offsetting' your emissions by investing in tree planting were a bit dubious and it wasn't always clear where the money was being spent.  So we are trying to be as transparent as possible. We are exploring registering as a charity and a community interest company. We will be posting more detailed information about ourselves as we get under way.
